Kerusakan kulit terjadi didahului oleh proses sensitisasi berupa alergen fase sensitisasi yang umumnya berlangsung 2-3 minggu. Bila terjadi pajanan ulang dengan allergen yang sama atau serupa, periode hingga terjadinya gejala klinis umumnya 24-48 jam fase elisitasi. Alergen paling sering berupa bahan kimia dengan berat molekul kurang dari 500-1000 Da. Keluhan diberikan farmakoterapi berupa Topikal 2x sehari  Pelembab krim hidrofilik urea 10%.  Kortikosteroid Desonid krim catatan bila tidak tersedia dapat digunakan fluosinolon asetonid krim Pada kasus dengan manifestasi klinis likenifikasi dan hiperpigmentasi, dapat diberikan golongan betametason valerat krim atau mometason furoat krim kasus infeksi sekunder, perlu dipertimbangkan pemberian antibiotik topikal. Oral sistemik  Antihistamin hidroksisin 2 x 1 tablet selama maksimal 2 minggu, atau Loratadine 1×10 mg/ hari selama maksimal 2 minggu. b. Pasien perlu mengidentifikasi faktor risiko penyebab DKA, menghindari bahan-bahan yang bersifat alergen, baik yang bersifat kimia, mekanis, dan fisis, memakai sabun dengan pH netral dan mengandung pelembab serta memakai alat pelindung diri untuk menghindari kontak alergen saat bekerja.
